Yahoo than Google for the first time in 5 years
For the first time in five years, the U.S. Internet users believe that Yahoo! better meets their expectations that the eternal rival Google. The latter would be less innovative.
According to a survey carried out by the University of Michigan, the search engine Yahoo! longer satisfy the expectations of Internet users than Google. Yahoo! has indeed received an average score of 79 points, one point more than Google. A note, AOL is experiencing a sharp drop compared to the previous year (-9.5%).
Larry Freed, CEO of ForeSee Results, finds that Yahoo! has remained successful and managed to renew its "strong point", that is to say, the "community service".
However, "what the user sees through what he saw Google is already three years ago," although the firm has developed applications for email, chat and office. The Google indeed remained unchanged over the years while that of rival Yahoo is constantly changing.
Google, which is in decline, should also monitor another serious contender, Ask.com, behind which the latter with a satisfaction rating of 75.
