"2 Manhunt" is facing a ban of rain a few weeks before its scheduled launch in mid-July in Europe because of its violence. It will also not available in Switzerland, decided on Friday the authorities responsible.
Britain, Italy and Ireland followed suit earlier this week. Developed by the American label Rockstar Games, Â "2Â Manhunt" is a result of the first component already very violent. It was released in Europe on July 13 on Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 2 console.
Beyond the tolerable
"In the controversy actuelleÂ" on this game, the Swiss Interactive Entertainment (SIEA) and Gametime GmbH have decided not to offer the market, indicates the SIEA in a statement released Friday.
Roger Frei, President of the SIEA, believes that the video game industry is demonstrating its  "responsabilités sense" approach to child protection, and it is  "more ready to tolerate any" despite its respect for the  "artistique freedom" of software developers. ' "2 Manhunt" for us than what is tolerable in the representation of violence', says Roger Frei.
