Rumors: a delay Leopard to accommodate Vista

Seen 445 times

This is one of the most annoying rumors that Mac users will have read for some time. According to several sources including the very serious echoes DigiTimes, Apple could postpone the release of Leopard six months.
According to latest reports that have filtered from the developers with access to the  " builds" the next Apple operating system, stability and performance of the latter have improved significantly. In fact, the most common opinion concerning the progress of development is that Leopard actually approaching its official release.
Sources, from industry, however talk of a postponement decision by Apple to allow Leopard to take fully support Vista. The firm at the apple has decided to integrate directly Boot Camp in Leopard, and Vista support is a quite big selling point. As a reminder, Boot Camp is software that lets you install Windows on Macs with Intel processors.
The information is still rather surprising. First, it's been several months now that Boot Camp is no longer updated, the latest version 1.1.2 beta is stamped. So we know that Apple is working on an update without knowing what's new, though  " Vista" is still here in the middle of conversations.
Second, even the latest beta of Boot Camp lets you install Vista. Not only the installation is also possible, but the system also works without problems on Mac Intel, only the iSight is not managed. But if Leopard is nearing the end of its development and that Vista works virtually without even a bump on the Mac, the next Mac OS X does it really need six months to work support for Vista?

  1. Hello, medrci for this post interesting (come often!) fortunately you précsé: "pc inpact this article was posted on Monday" :) we would have struggled to get the gist :)

  2. After two years of waiting, this leopard really worth it, over 300 new features have been added from what I read on some magazines to the example of the integration of boot camp for the execution of windows, backup utility Time Machine, virtual offices etc. ... and improving its interface ;)
