OpenSUSE Linux is available in version 10.2

Suse Linux OpenSUSE Linux distribution is totally free for SUSE. Distribution does indeed integrate any components or proprietary software. Project supported by Novell, OpenSUSE just appeared in version 10.2. This new version brings the following changes:

  • Make 3.81

Apart from the traditional list of components, it should be noted that SUSE will now be called OpenSUSE, the community project taking precedence over the old name. Note that the package management has changed and use  " models" instead of selections, qu'opensync replaces multisync, adding a component called opensuseupdater for reporting software updates or the Adding zypper, a software management tool from the command line.
OpenSUSE 10.2 is available for the i386 (32 bit), x86-64 (AMD64 and EM64T) and PPC (G4 and G5 for example). It can be downloaded in CD (5 ISO files) or DVD (one file), and an additional but optional CD can be downloaded for all components and proprietary software.
