Google and Microsoft join the alliance

Google, Microsoft, VeriSign, Yahoo and IBM this week joined the board of the foundation OpenID that standardizes the identification of multiple sites with one account.

A few weeks ago, Yahoo announced that it has adopted the OpenID 2.0, this is now the major web players join the alliance which confirms the adequacy of OpenID with the needs of Internet, usually leaky sites where there an application, using OpenID, the user needs only one account in order to identify itself on all sites using this technology.

The arrival of these players, Google , Microsoft , VeriSign etc ... does not mean that Gmail users must use OpenID identifiers, such standardization does not affect all services giants web but only a few, are currently no more information than that but dispoweb.org will try to be close to the developments of OpenID with the entry of Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, VeriSign and IBM !
