Gemalto will equip the White House in system identification smart card
The manufacturer of smart cards of French origin has just landed a contract with  "the highest executive agency américainÂ" understand the White House, for an identification service staff. Badges of smart card type used for administration and to enter the building but also to identify the information system.

The contract amount has not been sent. This is especially an operation to raise the profile of Gemalto, who won larger contracts in volume of cards to be provided.
The company currently provides more than 12 million cards to several U.S. government agencies including the Department of Defense who has made 11 million alone.
In France, the cradle of smart card technology, Gemalto has no institutional client. However, it provides identification system to aviation group Boeing, the pharmaceutical company Merck and the oil services group Schlumberger.
