There is a little trick to run extensions Firefox 1.5 or other versions of the new 2.0. A small handling extensions is sufficient for your old extensions that are not yet officially supported on version 2.0 of FireFox easily integrate with your new FF.

1 - rename the downloaded file. XPI. ZIP (eg extension.xpi -> extension.zip).

2 - Decompress the new file. ZIP.

3 - Once the archive is unpacked, you will get a chrome folder and two files and install.rdf install.js, open install.rdf with a text editor like wordpad and we look for the line: em: targetApplication>

In the following block locate the line 1.5 and 1.5 by 2.0 to change the compatibility to pass on to that version 1.5 of the 2.0.
em: maxVersion> 0.10
em: maxVersion> 1.5

4 - Save and compress all of the new archive.

5 - Finally, rename it the file again. ZIP. XPI (extension.ZIP -> extension.XPI).

Faitez drag your new extension in the box of FireFox extensions and have fun.
